You can count on us.
Built With Care
Attention to every detail.
Local & Proud
Serving our valley communities.
Built To Last
Quality work that stands the test of time.
Locally owned. West Coast built.
Valley Reign Contracting is a locally owned landscape construction company proudly serving our small town community and the surrounding areas of the Cowichan Valley. Inspired by the rugged beauty of the West Coast, we specialize in creating functional, lasting outdoor spaces built to complement the land around them.
From hardscaping and retaining walls to excavation, lawns, gardens, fencing and complete outdoor transformations, we take pride in quality craftsmanship, honest work and attention to detail.
That means the base gets built properly before a single paver goes down, the drainage gets solved before the sod goes in, and the person who walked your yard is the person running the machine.
Shaped by Nature. Refined by Craft.Landscape construction, Est. 2023
Tailored solutions for every outdoor space.
Seven things we do, start to finish, with our own crew and our own machines.
01
Outdoor Kitchens & Fire Pits
Outdoor living built around how the space actually gets used: kitchens, fire features, seating and steps.
02
Landscaping & Lawn Installation
New lawns, topsoil, garden beds and planting, graded to drain and shaped to suit the land around it.
03
Paver Patios & Walkways
Paving stones, slabs and pathways on a compacted base, with clean cuts and tight joints.
04
Driveways
Gravel and paving stone driveways, built on a sub base that carries real weight without rutting.
05
Retaining Walls
Block, armour stone and boulder walls, drained and backfilled to hold a grade for good.
06
Stone Masonry & Rock Walls
Natural stone set by hand, with the drainage and the backfill behind it done the way it should be.
Artificial Turf Installation
Base prep, edging and install. Low maintenance, always green, and built to drain.
Built right.
Built to last.
Anyone can lay a stone. We build the six inches underneath it that decide whether your patio still looks like this in fifteen years.
Four steps, no surprises.
The same crew walks the site, writes the quote and runs the machine, so nothing gets lost between the first visit and the last load out.
Book a site visitWalk the site
We come out, look at the grade, the drainage and the access, and listen to what you actually want out there.
Design and quote
You get a plan and a written price with the materials named. No vague allowances, no line item called miscellaneous.
Dig and build
Excavation, base, drainage, then the finish work. We keep the site tidy and tell you what is happening each day.
Walk it together
We go over the finished job with you before we pull off, and we come back if something needs attention.
Why homeowners call us back.
One crew, start to finish
The excavation and the finish work are done by the same people, so nothing gets lost between trades.
Quotes you can actually read
Materials, depths and scope written down before we start, so the number at the end is the number you agreed to.
Base work done properly
Correct depth, correct compaction, correct drainage. It costs more up front and it is the reason the work lasts.
You hear from us
Calls returned, timelines given straight, and a heads up when weather moves the schedule.
Based in Cobble Hill. Working across the valley.
We are a Cowichan Valley crew, and we stay in the valley. Most of our work sits between the Malahat and Ladysmith, from Mill Bay and Shawnigan Lake up through Duncan, Chemainus and Crofton. If your property is in that stretch, it is worth a call.
Knowing the ground here matters. Valley clay that holds water all winter, thin soil over rock on the hillsides, and a rainy season that finds every drainage shortcut. What works on this Island is not what works anywhere else, and it is why the base work gets the attention it does.
